Selling tickets without the headache
Tiers, member prices, door check-in and payouts — a practical guide to your first ticketed night.
Ticketing feels intimidating until you’ve done it once. Here’s the short version of what works for club nights, supper clubs and gigs.
Keep tiers simple
Two or three tiers is plenty: a general ticket, something with a perk (skip the line, a welcome drink) and maybe an early-bird. Name them so people know what they’re buying.
Reward your members
Open sales to the public but give members a better price. It’s the simplest way to make membership feel worth it — and it fills the room faster.
Make the door painless
- Every ticket gets its own QR code, emailed and saved in the buyer’s account.
- Scan at the door; a ticket can only be checked in once.
- Transferred tickets get a fresh QR code, so screenshots of the old one stop working.
Know the numbers
Watch sales by tier, keep an eye on how many are left, and close sales when you hit capacity. A “selling fast” badge does more marketing than another post.
“Sold 200 tickets for our warehouse night with zero setup.”
Put it into practice
